Every Fall, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful (KTBB) hosts the Annual Trashy Flashy Recycle Fashion Runway Event. This year's challenge was an avant garde event encouraging high school, college, and adult designers to use non-traditional recycled goods to produce a runway worthy garment. The Academy of Fashion Technology and Design submitted nine entries and all nine were accepted for the runway event. The Academy's "Peacock Dress" was awarded KTBB's "Top Design" award.
Family, Career, & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA )
Three teams competed at the district competition and were awarded advancement to the state competition.
Aneysha Jimenez earned a gold medal for Florida Proficiency event which was the highest at the state competition. Lyric Flythe and Faliesa Schupp earned silver medals for their STAR event.
